Cool tech gadgets for travel

While magazine browsing and web surfing I discovered some cool tech treats for travellers like Monty&Me. Top favourites:

Trakdot Luggage Tracker
Pop inside your bag and start your overseas journey fueled with peace of mind knowing you can track down your bag wherever it may be. It's FAA-compliant and FCC-certified. This clever little device continually monitors cell networks to find your bag's location. Upside: It doesn't interfere with your in-flight travel - it automatically goes to 'sleep' mode and when you land it automatically 'wakes up'. It will send you a signal to let you know where your bag is. You can track the device through the website or via an optional app which will alert you when your luggage is less than 9 metres from you.
Cost: US$49.99  plus US$8.99 one time activation fee
Downsides: Annual $13 service fee. Only one per suitcase. Would need more than one. Yet to see it demonstrated to ascertain how precise it is with pinpointing your luggage's location. www.trakdot.com
